The conference helds on 25-26 July, 2016 in Malang, East Java and hosted by Department of Economics, Faculty of Economics and Business, Brawijaya University. Brawijaya University is one of public universities in Indonesia since its establishment, has set the agenda of playing a major role in promoting research and education.</p> <p><br />The conference is an annual event of IRSA and will actively promote a discussion in regional sciences gathering together scholars, experts, and policymakers working in the fields of regional development, regional planning, labour market trends and other related disciplines in Indonesia as in other countries. The conference will facilitate open discussions and debates, the transfer of knowledge, strategies for policy formulation, networking amongst scholars and policymakers which is also expected to contribute to the theoretical and empirical literature and policy dialogue particularly on the regional sciences. For this year conference, the big theme is Demographic Change and Regional Development.</p> <p><br />Malang is the second largest in East Java Province, Indonesia. The city is popular for its mild climate and clean cities and also popular as tourist destination and educational centre. Malang is served by a domestic airport with flights to Jakarta and Bali.
